The Gospel Commentary

Commentaries on the Gospels for each Sunday and many feasts of the Church year from the writings of St. John Chrysostom, interspersed with the Gospel text itself. This collection is originally from the Greek, translated into Slavonic, now into English. Although it has for the most part fallen out of liturgical use (the typicon prescribes that it be read at Matins), it is a valuable addition to personal or communal prayer life, either as part of divine services or private prayers. Unusually large type and attractive two-color printing make the volume well suited for use in services. Certainly a valuable addition to any Orthodox library.
